The Snug

Robe Beach Accommodation - The Snug

This gorgeous Cottage was the first building to be completed in the township of Robe, Circa 1840. Nestled into a hill this cottage has the most sheltered position in Robe. Giving it a feel of being alone and warm. I have called it the 'The Snug' for very obvious reasons. With sandstone walls that are two feet thick in places leaving the building feeling cool through the summer months and beautifully insulated from Robes (at times) very rugged and romantic winters. This little cottage will hold you and help to unwind and recharge in perfect comfort.

Wood for the fire will be supplied from May to the end of September.

Grey Masts is a much loved heritage property right across from Robe’s front beach.

There are two listings at Grey Masts: The Book Shop and The Snug.

Each listing has its own entrance and its own outdoor area, so while you may see other guests around the grounds, you won’t be sharing your private space with anyone else.

Please note: there is a pub directly across the road that plays live music until midnight on Saturday nights from February to April, with more frequent music in late December and January. It’s always more guitars and vocals than heavy beats, but it is part of the lively atmosphere of this central location.

  • "Such a gorgeous place to stay. It was cosy, homely and stylish. The old thick walls of The Snug were so beautiful, it felt like the house was giving you a hug. I felt very comfortable there. The location could not be better, metres from everything! JJ was a great host and I loved being met by his two gorgeous dogs. I would very happily stay here again and would recommend it to others."
